Jay Seymour, a Senior Land Surveyor with the Orange County dept. of Public Works – Survey Division and the 50th state president of the CLSA comes to share the experience he has gained in over 50 years of surveying. 43 of those years practicing as a professional land surveyor. He holds licenses in Kansas, Colorado, and California. Jay has prepared in excess of 11,000 legal descriptions, performed 2,000 full sectionalized land boundary surveys in multiple states, and has supervised and prepared over 3,000 ALTA/ACSM land title surveys in his career. Mr. Seymour has been an expert witness in boundary disputes in both Colorado and California.
Jay Seymour has been featured as the keynote and featured presenter at the Kansas society of land surveyors, Michigan society of professional surveyors, North Dakota society of professional surveyors, Oregon society of land surveyors, and California land surveyors association state conferences. He has presented up to four seminars at each conference, from topics on legal descriptions, the business aspects of surveying, understanding the ALTA standards, and the public land surveying system. He is listed on the NSPS website as a national speaker.
