Jim started his carrier in Surveying in 1968. He has worked in Maryland, Virginia, Alberta Canada, Washington, Idaho, and Oregon. Jim is a professional land surveyor in Washington, Oregon, and is also a certified federal surveyor (CFedS).
Jim has taught for Renton Technical College, Seattle University, and several state and national conferences. Jim has also published over 30 articles on surveying as well as a book on Math for Surveyors.
Jim is the past president of the Land Surveyors Association of Washington (LSAW) and is the current director from Washington to the National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS).
