At this weeks meeting dug a little deeper into Rob’s article he wrote for the California Surveyor magazine, “Investing In Yourself”. What does that mean? What can we help the beginning surveyor with and why does a seasoned surveyor need to keep learning?

A few highlights from tonight’s meeting:

*Invest in yourself*See Robs article attached for a quick read for those of you that did not receive from the last meeting follow up.

*Try to implement a “Payday” Mentoring program. Create an in house program for discussing a bi-weekly land surveying problem at your company during your payday meetings.  ? It worked great for Clark County Public Works Department!

*Best Land Surveying Colleges for working adults. Here is a link to the NSPS website that will list all available land surveying colleges throughout the US.https://www.nsps.us.com/page/coll_univ

*Weekend Technician mentoring/conference tracks? Let’s see if we can all work together on this email and help Josh get something going in Georgia! Once we have something on paper, we can take it back to our state associations to get going in 2021. What would you like to see for classes? I did like Josh’s conversation about getting the vendors involved and maybe some of their in house trainers to help!

*AutoCAD tips. We talked about Rick Ellis and all of his tutorials.. Here is a link to Ricks website.https://cadapult-software.com/author/rickcadapult-software-com/
