Session Description:
Readily available geospatial information and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) have changed the way surveyors work. Surveyors use GIS and other geospatial tools for deed and parcel research and project planning every day. The power of these tools goes far beyond initial project setup. This webinar will discuss the fact that GIS and surveying are complementary technologies, not adversaries. Real world examples of how surveyors can use GIS in their own projects and get involved in GIS projects will be presented.
