Mr. Dyste brings over 40 years of experience in construction, telecom hardware, and software development. In 1999, he founded BizWatt 1.0, a pioneering ‘cloud’ company. Nine years ago, while working in fiber optic and commercial solar construction, he identified a need for specialized software in the construction industry, particularly for land surveyors.
This led to the development of Qfactor for Surveyors, released seven years ago, which has gained a loyal base of survey companies. Mr. Dyste has engaged with over 100 surveyors, ranging from sole proprietors to CEOs, through demonstrations, discussions, and participation in regional surveyor conferences. This has given him a comprehensive understanding of surveyors’ pain points in managing and determining project profitability.
The prevalent inefficiency in the surveyors’ workflow process stems from using project management applications that do not align with their industry’s requirements, despite having access to cutting-edge technology in the field. This misalignment causes wasted time, excessive work in progress, and team confusion, creating bottlenecks in the industry where there is more work than there are people to do it.
