This workshop will discuss critical aspects of using least squares adjustment to a wide range of geospatial observation data. Building on an understanding of errors and their propagation, critical aspects of setting up data for adjustment, as well as analyzing the output of an adjustment, will be covered. ‘Things that can go wrong’ and ‘Traps for young players’ will also be discussed, so that practitioners can avoid common flaws in the least squares use.
