The NEW 2021 ALTA/NSPS Land Title Survey Standards
After 2 years of work on the part of the Joint ALTA/NSPS Committee and others, the new 2021 ALTA/NSPS Land Title Survey Standards were adopted by ALTA and NSPS in October, with an effective date of February 23, 2021. This program will outline the many changes from the 2016 standards and provide an explanation of what each means to the surveyor. In addition, an overview of the relationship between land title surveys and title insurance will be provided. Finally, some common questions that arise in the process of performing a land title survey will be discussed.
